Twenty-seven consumer protection, civil rights, and civil liberties organizations sent a letter to Congress in support of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce’s proposal to allocate at least $1 billion in the Build Back Better Act to create a new division in the FTC to protect data privacy and prevent security abuses.
