Consumer Reports and a coalition of 19 organizations wrote to the Senate Judiciary Committee urging them to pass the American Innovation and Choice Online Act (AICOA), and the Open Apps Market Act (OAMA). Both of these bills would address some of the most damaging effects of Big Tech’s anticompetitive behavior: its manipulation of online marketplaces to benefit themselves, which has damaged thousands of small American companies and imposed hundreds of thousands of dollars in unnecessary costs on American consumers.
