Consumer Reports filed an amicus brief in the case of Texas v. EPA in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. The Texas Attorney General and other state AGs joined with fossil fuel companies in filing a lawsuit to challenge the Environmental Protection Agency’s new vehicle emissions standards.
The amicus brief provides data that shows the consumer demand for electric vehicles and automakers’ willingness to meet demand may exceed EPA’s new standards, counter to one of the arguments in the lawsuit.
