April 22, 2011 – Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania wants to alter four health insurance plans for individuals. The Wilkes-Barre-based health insurer asked the state Insurance Department to change deductible levels affecting Blue Care Direct, Select, Essential and Advantage plans, spokesman Anthony Matrisciano said. Deductibles are the amounts consumers pay before their insurer pays for healthcare services.
