Twelve consumer and privacy groups filed joint comments on the California Attorney General’s proposed rules to implement the California Consumer Privacy Act. The draft regulations bring a measure of clarity and practical guidance to the CCPA’s provisions giving consumers the right to access, delete, and stop their sale of their personal information. They are overall a step forward for consumer privacy, but some specific proposals do not advance consumer privacy and should be eliminated, while other require revision. Please see the attached PDF for the submitted comments.
