Consumer Reports has developed a Digital Wallet Best Practices Playbook to support our vision for a Fair Digital Financial Marketplace. With our focus on raising standards, strengthening consumer protections, and empowering consumers, this playbook has been developed by researchers and subject matter experts to be used and implemented by product teams, financial technology entrepreneurs, and other technologists as they build the next generation of digital wallets for consumers.
Across the six principles of our Fair Digital Finance Framework, this playbook provides recommendations, use cases, and supporting data that can be easily integrated with a Product Requirement Document (PRD) or similar type of product mapping document to address the unique challenges and opportunities digital wallets bring to financial inclusion. Leveraging this resource can build trust with consumers, give users better data and insights to make informed financial decisions, and develop inclusive and user-centered products and services that will attract more users and result in fewer complaints.
