Consumer Reports urges FDA to strengthen its proposed rules limiting lead in baby food

In a letter sent to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Consumer Reports urged the agency to strengthen its proposed guidance to industry limiting lead in baby food.  CR urged the FDA to adopt lower, mandatory limits on lead for all foods fed to children under the age of two, not just processed foods. In addition, CR called on the FDA to set limits on lead in grain-based snacks.
