CR letter to House of Representatives opposing resolution repealing CFPB’s rule that strengthened oversight of digital payment apps

Consumer Reports letter to the House of Representatives urging lawmakers to oppose H.J. Res. 64, which would overturn the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s rule that strengthened oversight of digital payment apps. Under the rule, digital wallets and payment apps offered by Apple, Google and other big tech companies are subject to supervision by the CFPB just like banks, credit unions and other financial institutions.
