CR’s letter highlights its joint investigation with The Markup about a controversial auto insurance plan by Allstate in Maryland that sought to vary customers’ price hikes based on their willingness to pay.
Letters were sent to insurance commissioners in the states that have not taken this action: AL, AZ, AR, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, MI, MS, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT, WV, WI, and WY.
