Consumer Reports letters to House and House Judiciary Committee members in support of ending forced arbitration

Description: Consumer Reports letter to House Judiciary Committee in support of the Forced Arbitration Injustice Repeal Act, to stop corporations from forcing consumers, workers, small businesses, and victims of civil rights violations to give up the right to go to a court of law and requiring them instead to take legal disputes to secret and unaccountable private arbitration tribunals. We cite to our March 2020 cover story highlighting the growing presence of arbitration clauses in consumer product purchase agreements.
The Committee held a hearing on February 11 on the issue. Consumer Reports also sent a letter to all House Members urging them to support the bill.
