SUMMARY: Joint comments by several consumer organizations, including Consumer Reports, in support of the Pennsylvania state attorney general’s proposed rulemaking to clarify and strengthen interpretation of the state’s Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law prohibiting unfair and deceptive market practices, and anti-competitive market practices. The rule would clear up a number of ambiguities to provide clearer guidance and deterrence to businesses, and to place the law on firmer footing for consumers harmed by these practices.
