Consumer Reports joined 80 organizations in urging members of Congress to consider including an investment in electrifying the transportation sector in any major stimulus package. In a letter delivered to lawmakers, these organizations make the case that accelerating electric vehicle manufacturing and infrastructure would help put Americans back to work and increase American competitiveness in an important industry, which in turn will make electric vehicles more affordable to consumers, stimulating consumer demand across the entire economy.
